Component quick reference

Every component is drawn, numbered and repeatable.

Three supply routes, one part numbering system, one specification. Part numbers below are quotable as written — __ marks the bore field. Drawings on request for every number.

Route 01 · Fabricated — BF

OPC supplies the complete part.

Carbon steel to the wall the drawing names — SCH 80 at 3", 4" and 6", 0.500" wall at 8" — A106 Gr. B seamless or A53 Gr. B per drawing · Hrd67 ¼" overlay, full interior · Victaulic OGS cut groove both ends, cut after overlay · red enamel. Drawn and priced at 3", 4", 6" and 8"; published range 3" SCH 80 to 24"; lead times quoted per order. Each elbow family is a dimensional replacement for a specific published figure — pick the family by what the station holds today.

Centreline radius three times nominal bore; centre-to-end matches the published 3D figure, so it drops into a station built for that figure.

The long sweep spreads the direction change — and the wear — over the greatest length of bore of any elbow family.

OPC-BF__-090M2VG
45°
OPC-BF__-045M2VG

One-for-one at every bore — it drops into the same station as the 1½D figure.

Construction differs from the figure it replaces: mitred heavy-wall carbon steel, not a casting.

A direct swap in the same station at each bore.

Purpose-built 0.300"–0.500" wall in place of a standard-wall casting, under the same Hrd67 deposit.

OPC-BF06-CRSS06VG

Run and branch envelopes match the published grooved fitting figures; branch bore is always carried in the part number, including equal-outlet.

Level tie-ins and flush points open up early and are rarely protected.

Spools and pupsMade to length · grooved both ends
Spool
OPC-BF__-SPOL__VG

Catalogue lengths 4", 6", 12" and 24", grooved both ends — not every length is drawn at every bore. Longer runs are supplied as bulk stock rather than as a spool.

The sacrificial spool downstream of a restriction is the cheapest thing on the line to change.

Custom-angle mitred elbowsBuilt to the line · any angle, drawn and numbered

OPC-BF06-066MVB
37°
OPC-BF06-037MVG

66°, 37°, 35.6° — any angle the line actually runs, drawn, numbered and repeatable. A threadolet or bung is a drawing feature, not a special.

The components no catalogue carries and no distributor will quote — usually the ones holding up a changeout.

Part number format OPC-BF[bore]-[geometry][ends] — e.g. OPC-BF06-090MVG is a 6" 90° 3D mitred elbow, Victaulic grooved both ends. Full convention: OPC Part Numbering Standard, current revision, on request.

Drawn, numbered, fabricated — components palletized for shipment.

Route 02 · Free-issue overlay — SV

You supply the fitting. OPC supplies the deposit.

Customer-supplied grooved fittings, overlaid and returned — or sourced, supplied and overlaid by OPC on one purchase order · Hrd67 ¼" deposit, full interior, end to end · every line subject to base-metal acceptance per SPEC-HRD67-BM, current revision. Lead times quoted per order.

Elbows you already stock, overlaid and returned. Deposition is longitudinal in a balanced sequence to preserve groove and gasket-seat geometry; both are dimensionally verified against Victaulic tolerance after overlay and before shipment.

22.5° splits by substrate: 022CVG at 3" and 4" (casting), 022MVG at 6" and 8" (segmentally welded).

OPC-SV06-CRSS06VG

Tees and crosses, equal outlet. The branch bore is carried in the part number. Cast fittings at these bores are commonly ductile iron — see the acceptance note below.

ReducersConcentric and eccentric
Concentric
OPC-SV__-RDCR__VG
Eccentric
OPC-SV06-RDCE04VG

Concentric and eccentric reducers, supplied through this route. A reducer sets up the wear downstream of it as well as taking its own, and is rarely on a protection list.

Spool
OPC-SV__-SPOL__VG

4", 6", 12" and 24" long at 3" and 6" bore; 12" long at 4" and 8". Other lengths quoted individually. The shortest, cheapest sacrificial piece on the line.

Acceptance — read before you free-issue anything

Wall governs. Minimum 0.250" measured wall — a double-pass deposit burns through anything thinner. Measured at receiving by UT or calipers on every piece, at every size; mill undertolerance runs to −12.5%.

Base metal. Cast carbon steel (A216 WCB) accepted without condition. Ductile iron at the applicator's discretion — there is no nickel buffer layer. Grey cast iron is rejected.

Also supplied: cast chrome white iron wear parts — liners, wear-headed fasteners and other cast shapes per application · off-list geometry — wyes, laterals, transitions and liners — quoted under their own part numbers.

Route 03 · Bulk overlaid stock — BP

Cut the pup you need, the shift you need it.

Overlaid straight pipe, 3"–24" bore, ungrooved, plain end. Order the longest length the position allows and cut to requirement on site. Cut by plasma or diamond blade; cut groove only — never roll groove.

Cutting and grooving generate hexavalent chromium — PDS-HRD67, current revision, Section 9 applies. Documents on request.

All lengths at 3"–24" bore. The deposit reduces the bore ½" on the diameter — size the base pipe against the required finished bore.
