Hrd67 hardfaced wear components for paste backfill reticulation and abrasive service

Nobody asks for their worn-out part back. We do.

The replacement elbow on the shelf is identical to the one that just wore through — so the position gets the same result on the same clock. OPC sections the worn part, measures where the bore actually opened up, and adds deposit exactly there on the next run of that part number. The line's wear record ends up in the part instead of the scrap bin.

A ¼" deposit, double pass, applied end to end through the coupling zone. The joint is a wear point, not a low-wear region — there is no standoff on any supply route.

What OPC supplies

OPC Industrial & Mining supplies wear components and safety products to underground hard rock mining operations.

The core line is Hrd67 — complex chromium carbide weld overlay for paste backfill reticulation and adjacent abrasive service. A ¼" deposit, double pass, applied end to end through the coupling zone. Three supply routes and one specification: OPC supplies the finished component, overlays a fitting you already stock, or supplies overlaid straight stock you cut and groove on site. Published range 3" to 24" — larger diameters up to 30" on request. Every component is drawn, numbered and repeatable, and the drawing names its own substrate and wall.

Alongside Hrd67, OPC supplies cast wear parts to application, safety products, and repair services.

Built on operating experience

OPC supplies the environments it comes from. Decades of hard rock operating experience shape the details — components drawn to the angles lines actually run, red enamel because parts outlive their paperwork, a wear programme that asks for the worn-out part back — and set the pace: what your line teaches at this changeout is in the steel for the next one, with Northern Ontario fabrication capacity behind it rather than a queue behind a national catalogue.

Three supply routes, one part numbering system, one specification

Pick the route by what you already hold.

Same consumable, same ¼" double-pass specification on all three, laid down differently. What changes is who supplies the steel, when the grooves get cut, and which geometries are on the table.

Route 01 · BF

Fabricated components

OPC supplies the finished part: SCH 80 carbon steel, overlaid, fabricated, cut grooved and finished in red enamel, ready to install.

Free-issue overlay

You free-issue a fitting from your own stock and OPC overlays the bore and returns it — including geometries outside OPC's fabrication range, or sourced, supplied and overlaid on one purchase order where you don't stock it.

Bulk overlaid stock

Overlaid straight pipe, 3"–24" bore, ungrooved, in 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft and 10 ft 6 in — you cut to length and cut groove on site, the shift you need it.

Cut groove only — never roll groove

Return & Reinforce

It starts with one component.

One removed elbow, one position, one report. No line, no contract, no trial protocol — a worn-out component is the only honest record of what a position does to steel, and one is enough to start reading it.

What comes back is the same part number, same envelope, same fit — more steel where that position eats it. Nothing changes in your requisition; the part just stops failing on the same schedule.

How the programme works →

What OPC needs from site

The removed part, the position it came out of, and the changeout date. Tonnage through the position if the maintenance record carries it. Nothing else, and nothing that has to leave your system.
